I planned a recent solo trip around a small town concert by Art Garfunkel. He's returned to the stage following a four year hiatus. A voice issue made it impossible for him to sing the middle range of notes.
The beauty of this concert was listening to him sing, hearing about his life and his journey to get his stage voice back. The show was intimate.
It didn’t matter what he could or couldn’t do anymore. It was a celebration of his career, the human spirit and the will to overcome obstacles. He demonstrated a priceless "courage in action".
His unspoken message … hold tight onto your passions and your imperfections and move forward. This mindset is shared with solo travelers everywhere.
How do you describe your mindset as you travel solo?
