Giving Back

When I take a walk on the beach, sometimes there are school children participating in Marine Biology lessons at the shore. It’s wonderful to see them so engaged as they learn about nature hands on.

Art of DayCations

A few years ago I began a personal journey to understand how to make day trip adventures near home as exciting and as full of self discovery as my global ones.

I did this after realizing that my travel euphoria was not in full gear when I took trips near home.

I made a commitment to develop my art of DayCation and now adventures near home are some of my favorite things.  Some of my trips take considerable planning, but others I decide to let things happen organically.

NightCations?

Can’t spare the time for a DayCation? What about a NightCation? There are lots of possibilities to re-energize after work.

My recent NightCation attending the screening of a rock climbing documentary “Valley Uprising”. It was being shown on the 19th day of Caldwell's and Jorgenson’s 3,000 foot climb up the granite Dawn Wall of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park using only their hands and feet.
