In the Friday NY times email alert was a short list of weekend events. A show named “Lilia” was being performed by playwright and actress Libby Skala, at the NY Public Library, Jefferson Market Library in Chelsea caught my eye.

Whenever I visit Harlem, I feel the energy,  I feel the love and I feel the pride. At the Harlem Eatup Festival Grand Tasting, I felt the magic of it all coming together and most importantly I felt like I was home.

Play it Again

Sam the Clam was a restaurant and bar I hesitated to visit for lunch last year while day tripping. I hesitated at the shack like appearance and the large Marilyn and gangster statues out front.  I took a risk and dined on the large deck. The food, wait staff and fellow diners were great.
