While traveling on my own, recruiting others to take a photo with me is easy. Getting people to “dress up” in costume with me is not.
While visiting Baku, Azerbaijan I learned about a historical photo opportunity to don an outfit typically worn by Azerbaijan nobility.
Stepping up to create a stunning trip momento was a fellow Friendship Force International’ Ambassador and Exchange Director. Working together we found the perfect pose to exude friendship, cross cultural understanding and peace - the key objectives of the exchange that included Ambassadors from the Americas, Canada, Germany and Azerbaijan.
It was one of the many highlights visiting in Baku and beyond.
When have you dressed up in traditional costume while traveling? What was your experience like?
